Dele Alli has become a peripheral figure at Tottenham

Hugo Lloris claims Tottenham teammate Dele Alli has switched on after failed PSG move

According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris has claimed that teammate Dele Alli has turned things around after his failed January move to PSG.

Alli has endured a difficult 2020/21 campaign, having fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho for the majority of the term.

This had seen him get heavily linked with an exit in the January transfer window, with PSG seemingly interested in signing him up. The 24-year-old was keen on making the switch but Tottenham blocked the move. (h/t Evening Standard)

Following that, Alli is said to have had a heart-to-heart talk with Mourinho and has slowly been reintegrated into the first-team picture. Even though he has had to deal with an injury recently, the ex-MK Dons man has shown glimpses of quality first in the game against Wolfsberger in Europe while he looked good against Fulham, too.

And Lloris has praised the attitude of Alli, claiming that he has put his disappointment aside and turned things around at Tottenham.

“As a team-mate, he’s always been professional, he put his disappointment on the side and from day one in the second part of the season, after the transfer market closed, he switched on and he started to step by step improve his fitness and get as much confidence as he can.

“Now he’s coming back and that’s good for the team and obviously the best for his season is ahead of us.”

More Tottenham Hotspur News:

Alli seems like he is enjoying being back on the field and has shown positive signs in his last couple of appearances. Hopefully, he continues to build on that and comes to aid Tottenham’s top-four push as well as the club’s bid to end the trophy drought in the Carabao Cup and the Europa League.
