Man United could sanction Dean Henderson transfer amid Tottenham interest
Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast (h/t Express), transfer expert Duncan Castles has claimed that Manchester United could sanction the sale of goalkeeper Dean Henderson who is a target for Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.
A product of the Manchester United youth academy, Henderson earned his stripes while away on loan at Shrewsbury Town and Sheffield United. The two-season spell with the Blades put him on the map as he helped them to promotion to the Premier League and then starred upon their return to the top-flight.
Having returned to Manchester United last summer, Henderson has found himself playing second-fiddle to first-choice custodian David de Gea. The England national team hopeful has had to contend himself with appearances in the cup ties with game-time in the Premier League not forthcoming.

And, Duncan Castles has now claimed that Manchester United could spring a surprise and allow the 23-year-old to join a Premier League rival if he is unhappy at the club.
“You will have noted in recent weeks stories that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are suitors of his, which I don’t think are coincidental given the pressures Henderson has been putting on the club to be played.
“What I think is going to catch Henderson by surprise is the idea that United might just say: ‘Thank you very much, if you aren’t happy waiting, we’ll let you go to one of those other Premier League teams and we’ll take up an option of signing another goalkeeper from elsewhere because we’ve found what we think is the better solution’.”

Castles further added that Manchester United have been in talks with representatives of some goalkeepers across Europe, which further hints that the club may be open to sanction a sale.
Should that be true, Tottenham must make sure to land Henderson. The 23-year-old has shown his abilities at this level last season and with Hugo Lloris needing to be replaced, he would the a fine candidate.
