Real Madrid transfer verdict on Gareth Bale could spell good news for Tottenham Hotspur
In a potential transfer boost for Tottenham Hotspur, a report by Daily Mail claims that Real Madrid are still looking to offload Gareth Bale despite his recent return to form.
Los Galacticos want to sell the Welshman permanently in hopes of investing the funds in PSG forward Kylian Mbappe or Borussia Dortmund prodigy, Erling Haaland. He is currently playing well for Spurs.
And this has rejuvenated Madrid’s hopes that they can find a potential suitor for him. Bale will have one year left on his Madrid contract at the end of this season, which is worth around £26million.
Getting his wage bill off the books remains a task for Madrid. The 31-year-old joined Tottenham on a one-year loan at the start of this season.
A permanent deal on the cards?
It is understood that his loan contract does not have an option for a second year but it is something that cannot be discounted.
Spurs are currently paying around £250,000 of his £650,000-a-week salary at Santiago Bernabeu. Madrid want a permanent sale for Bale and Spurs could be one option.
It is, of course, a possibility that we make an approach for Bale at the end of the season if the former Southampton man can retain his form. He has 9 goal contributions in his last 6 games for Spurs.
Things are looking up for him and Jose Mourinho. If Bale continues this form, his loan signing would be well worth the money and effort.
