Dimitar Berbatov urges Tottenham to punish Arsenal in the North London derby

According to Betfair (h/t Football.london), Dimitar Berbatov has sent a strong message for Tottenham to punish Arsenal in the North London derby. Spurs take on arch-rivals Arsenal on Sunday in a derby that could have a lot of repercussions for both sides.

Spurs are in 7th place and a win could push them right up to 5th. Meanwhile, Arsenal are languishing in 10th place. Former Spurs frontman Berbatov spoke about the good form Spurs are in and pointed to Arsenal’s leaky defence.

“This weekend it is the north London derby and Spurs have the momentum with Bale also coming into form. However, it is a derby and you just have to try and win that game. Arsenal are leaking goals and making mistakes, the Burnley goal highlights that.

Spurs need to enforce that and make Arsenal make mistakes and not make mistakes themselves. I think Spurs have the better players on paper, but in these games, nothing is certain.”

Berbatov spoke on the importance of the derby, saying that both sets of supporters want to win the game and that it is about pride and ego. He spoke about Spurs’ form this season and how they were playing well at the start before a dip in form occurred. However, he believes that now they need to sustain this run of form and ensure that they don’t drop off again.
