Fans react as Tottenham Hotspur beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 in the Europa League tie in North London
Tottenham Hotspur took a giant step towards reaching the last eight of the UEFA Europa League with a 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday. A brace by star striker Harry Kane made the difference on the night.
It was an excellent performance by the Lilywhites who dominated the game from start to finish. The fact that we did not concede an away goal will be an added boost going into the second leg.
𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟-𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 ⏱ Job half done. A @HKane brace hands us the advantage in the tie.

Despite the result, Jose Mourinho is not taking the tie for granted. He declared in his post-match presser that Spurs will approach the second leg with a win on their minds.
The lone blot on the night was the yellow card picked up by midfielder Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg. This now rules the Danish international out of the second leg. While there is still a long way to go, Spurs look every bit a side who can go all the way in the competition.
For now, we have surpassed one obstacle. Another remains in Mourinho’s quest to end the club’s 13-year wait for a trophy. We take a look at how fans reacted to the result on Twitter.

A disciplined, tenacious & gritty performance! No complaints about the performance as everyone gave their all! Build up play from the midfield was good but not outstanding. However, when Bale came on Spurs looked far more threatening! Can’t understand why he didn’t start!

Lucas is the missing number 10 Spurs need now. Ndombele and Hojberg to complete the rest. Son is inconsistent. Kane remains the man for Spurs in any season.
