Peter Crouch praises Harry Kane for his performance after Tottenham beat Dinamo Zagreb
Former Tottenham striker Peter Crouch was all praises for Harry Kane as he guided Spurs to a win over Dinamo Zagreb (h/t Football.london). The English striker scored both goals for his side as Spurs now carry a decent advantage going into the second leg.
While Kane was his usual best in scoring those goals, it was his passing range that really caught the eye. That allowed other forwards such as Son Heung-min and Erik Lamela to move forward and cause problems for the Croatian side.
Peter Crouch showered some praise for the striker for his overall performance.
“He’s running the game, honestly. It’s a joy to watch at times. He’s just so intelligent in what he does. His build-up play, his awareness, his touch – he’s constantly looking round for players. It’s an exhibition.
He added that Kane’s finishing and creativity could be an inspiration for young players.
“As a young player, to watch a centre-forward play two roles – number 10 role and also the number nine role. When he gets in these deep positions, his vision, the technique, it’s fantastic. But he’s also getting in the box as well, which is what he did for the goal.”
