Sheffield United reveal asking price for Tottenham target Sander Berge
According to Express, Sheffield United have slapped a £22.2m price tag on Sander Berge who has been linked to Tottenham. Even rivals Arsenal are said to be interested in the midfielder who could be available next summer if Sheffield United were to be relegated.
The Norwegian was a club-record signing and the Blades are looking to recoup most of what they paid for him. Sheffield United are in the midst of a relegation battle and it looks increasingly likely that they will drop down to the Championship.
In that case, they would have to sanction some sales of their higher-earning players such as Sander Berge.
At the age of just 2e, Sander Berge has made over 200 senior appearances for club and country. Playing in a defensive midfield role, he can also play further ahead in central midfield. His versatility and experience at such a young age is the reason Sheffield United paid the money for him.
While Spurs do have a decent stock of midfielders like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko, adding a talented young player like Sander Berge should be a no-brainer. He has a decent valuation for a player of his age and experience.

However, Tottenham or any other club will have to wait till the end of the season to make any move. The 23-year-old can add a lot of value to the squad and the club must push to try and beat Arsenal to his signing.
