Bayern Munich have held talks with the representatives of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

Manchester United want Harry Kane to replace Anthony Martial

According to Mirror, Manchester United have lined up Tottenham ace Harry Kane as a replacement for Anthony Martial. They are also looking at Erling Haaland to take up the mantle of starting forward.

While Haaland is only starting to make a name for himself in Europe, he has become one of the most coveted forwards in the game. A host of clubs are after him including Manchester United are after the Norwegian.

Harry Kane, on the other hand, needs no introduction. The talismanic striker has been doing it all since breaking out. Kane is one of the most clinical strikers in Europe at the moment plus he has added the creativity facet to his game this season. No wonder Manchester United want him.

With Anthony Martial struggling to find the net and Edinson Cavani’s future undecided post this season, United are trying to find capable strikers who can deliver goals for them on a regular basis. Haaland and Kane do fall into the category United are looking for.

It seems almost very unlikely that Daniel Levy would sanction a sale for one of his prized assets and that too to a rival club. With the club standing a chance of winning a trophy under Jose Mourinho this term, it should convince Kane to stay with the team as well.

Missing out on the UEFA Champions League for the second season in a row could, however, prove to be problematic.
