Ben Davies lavishes praise on inspirational Tottenham teammate Harry Kane
According to Football.london, Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has glowingly praised teammate Harry Kane, calling him an inspirational figure for the entire team.
The 27-year-old has been the best player for Tottenham this season, spearheading the club’s push for a top-four finish as well as in the Europa League and the Carabao Cup. So far, Kane this term has been directly involved in a whopping 42 goals across all competitions, scoring 26 and creating 16 more.
And speaking of the England captain and how he leads this Tottenham side by example, Davies was full of praise for the striker.
“He’s huge. I think his goals speak for themselves this season with the amount he chips in for us, he’s a real talisman for the team.
“But also just around the place, he’s a very hard worker, very determined and when you have somebody like him leading the way, not just in terms of being such a big character, but also leading by example, he is very inspirational for everyone else.”
Elaborating further on Kane’s form this term, Davies added that the numbers speak for themselves and also insisted that the squad is used to seeing this level of quality from him on a daily basis.
“On the training pitch, we see his quality in so many games and it’s hard to say he’s taken a step up because he’s so good anyway. If he keeps up this form then it’s going to be another amazing season for him.”
