Opponent Watch: Jack Grealish could be back for the Tottenham clash
According to Birmingham Live, Jack Grealish has returned to training ahead for Aston Villa ahead of their clash vs Tottenham.
Grealish has been out injured for five games now and his side have won only once in his absence, reiterating his importance to the side. Villa are ninth in the league, a place and 4 points below Spurs. However, they do have a game in hand.
It has been said that the England winger has returned to full training ahead of this vital clash to close down the gap between both sides. Villa are winless in their last three games while Spurs were undone by Arsenal in the North London derby last week.
There is no doubt Villa are a much stronger side with Grealish. Very often, he has single-handedly carried his team to a win. His absence would have been a huge blow for the team in such a crucial game. Dean Smith confirmed that he might just make it in time for the game.
“He has been ill this week so he’s been off for a couple of days as well, but we’re hopeful for the Tottenham game now, that’s for sure. He’s still in and around the training ground. He takes part in the meetings. He’s got a voice and an opinion, which is good.”
