Transfer News: Daniel Levy has taken a stance on Harry Kane wanting Tottenham exit
Transfer expert, David Ornstein, told Sky Sports (h/t Express) that Harry Kane would like a move away from Tottenham Hotspur, but Daniel Levy would stand in his way.
The 27-year-old has come through the youth ranks at Spurs and become one of the best strikers in the world. But he is yet to win a trophy with the club and wants to leave N17 in order to win silverware.
An with the latest defeat to Dinamo Zagreb, it is claimed that the Englishman wants a move away. But Ornstein has stated that Levy would not sanction a sale unless a massive offer is made for him.
“I speak to a lot of people in football, and the consensus is that he would like to leave Tottenham… But he can’t say that publicly, he’s the captain. He’s very committed while he’s at the club, but he wants to go and win trophies.”
Kane off to Manchester?
Both Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly interested in a move for the striker. City are looking to replace Sergio Aguero, whose contract at City expires this summer.
And United are in the market for an Edinson Cavani replacement. But Kane is committed to Spurs until 2024 and an offer of at least £120m would make Levy reconsider his stance on Kane.
“However, that’s incredibly unlikely because Daniel Levy would want an astonishingly high figure for him. There were reports today of well in excess of £120million just for Daniel Levy to even consider letting him go.”
Kane is one of the most prolific goalscorers in the land and has managed 42 goal contributions in 39 games in all competitions this season. Those numbers are indeed, very hard to replace.

Jose Mourinho would know that Spurs would need someone like Kane to break their trophy duck in recent years. The club’s last trophy was in 2008, and their only hope of a trophy this season seems to be the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City in April.
