Manchester United and Arsenal make contact with the agent of Tottenham Hotspur target Paulo Dybala.

Juventus willing to sell Tottenham Hotspur target Paulo Dybala due to their pursuit of Paul Pogba

A report by Italian news outlet Quotidiano (h/t Express) states that Juventus are open to the idea of selling Tottenham Hotspur transfer target, Paulo Dybala, as a way of boosting their transfer kitty for Paul Pogba.

The Serie A giants are chasing Pogba, which comes as good news for Spurs. He departed Juventus in 2016 and the club has struggled to find a suitable replacement for him in midfield.

Manchester United are not willing to sell him on a free transfer as his contract nears its end. And if he doesn’t renew his current deal, which expires in 2022, then the club could sell him in the summer.

And selling the Argentine centre-forward is seen as a way by Juve to raise cash for signing the French midfielder. Dybala has had a troubled stay at the Old Lady recently and Tottenham have been linked with a move for him.

Pogba offers hope for Spurs

Dybala has been reduced to just 8 league starts over the campaign with injuries as well as a lack of faith by new manager Andrea Pirlo hampering his game-time. But the capabilities of a man with 98 career goals for Juventus cannot be doubted. (h/t transfermarkt)

He is just 27 years old and is arguably in the prime years of his career. And Spurs should consider a move for him if they get the chance to do so despite the failure to sign him in 2019 due to image rights.

They are not his only admirers, however, as London rivals, Chelsea, are also sizing up a move for him. They are in the market for a centre-forward and could turn to the Argentine as a cheaper alternative to Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund.

Harry Kane and Son Heung-min shoulder much of the scoring burden at the club. And hence, getting in someone like Dybala would ease the burden off the duo’s shoulders.
