Transfer News: Tottenham likely to sanction summer exit for Dele Alli
As per the latest transfer news from Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to stand in the way of an exit for Dele Alli in the summer window.
Alli, 24 has been with the club since 2015, having signed form MK Dons. Under the tutelage of former manager Mauricio Pochettino, he grew into one of the best attacking midfielders in England, becoming an undisputed starter for club and country.
However, the midfielder has seen a steep decline in form since the last season. Things have only gotten worse for him in the current season with Jose Mourinho pretty much freezing him out of the first-team picture for large parts.
As a result, Alli was heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham in the summer as well as the January window. French champions PSG were heavily interested in signing him. However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy did not sanction a move in hope that Alli would turn things around at the club. But that has yet to come to be.
And now, it is being said that should Alli seek to move on from Tottenham in the summer transfer window, the club would not stand in his way. This could come as music to the ears of Pochettino and PSG, who are still interested in signing the England international.

It has been a very difficult season for Alli. It is not always easy for a player to be the first name of the team sheet to then become almost an afterthought. Hopefully, he is able to make the most of his opportunities between now and the end of the season and nail down a place in Mourinho’s lineup.
