Transfer News: PSG find Hugo Lloris alternative in Illan Meslier
According to transfer news from Daily Mail, PSG have turned their attention from Tottenham skipper Hugo Lloris, with Illan Meslier now being targeted. New PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino was looking to bring in Lloris earlier using his connections with the club and player.
The Tottenham captain has been with the club since 2012, having signed from Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Lyon. One of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League during his prime, the 34-year-old has shown signs of regression over the past year or so.
Indeed, Lloris has made quite a few noticeable mistakes in recent times, hinting that he might be past his best days. Furthermore, his contract is set to expire at the end of next season.
While it was expected that Lloris could join our old boss in France, Spurs are keen on keeping the player. That has led Pohettino to look at another Premier League keeper, Illan Meslier. The new man at Leeds has made a good impression since arriving and looks to have a bright future.
