Erik Lamela rabona vs Arsenal wins the Premier League Goal of the Month
Erik Lamela has been awarded the Premier League Goal of the month award for his rabona goal against rivals Arsenal. After Lucas held the ball and tucked it towards Lamela, the Argentine had to go for the audacious as he wrapped his left foot from behind his right to hit it towards goal.

It went through the legs of Thomas Partey and beat Bernd Leno in goal. That goal handed us the lead but Arsenal eventually won the game and Lamela got sent off for two yellows.
“In the moment I didn’t think too much, I just started running and celebrating the goal – I was very emotional. Sometimes I kick the ball like this in training, but it’s not something I really train. Since I was young I’ve shot like this, so for me it’s normal!”
Despite the result not being in our favour, Lamela’s goal came at the right moment and the sheer quality of his strike deserves such recognition.
Tottenham next take on Newcastle United on Sunday in what is an important fixture for us in the race for the top-4. We cannot afford to lose points going forward and three points must be the agenda when we take the pitch against the Magpies.

If anybody ever asks who is Erik Lamela… show them this game, the most Coco match you'll ever see tbh. Comes on, goal of the season contender, gets sent off.

Should be a new 5-year contract in his hands.

He deserves it. He came back from injury very strong.
He has the passion, immerses himself in the game. He should work on his finishes.
Can do more and a great talent.— N.Stigs (@AduGodfrey) April 2, 2021
