Tottenham News: Jose Mourinho confirms two players will miss Manchester United game
According to news from Football.london, Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that two players will be missing against Manchester United. The full-back duo of Matt Doherty and Ben Davies are set to miss the game with injuries as confirmed by the boss ahead of a crucial tie.
Davies picked up an injury during the game against Aston Villa and did not play any part for Wales in their games during the international break despite being called up. Doherty was hooked off while playing for the Republic of Ireland against Luxembourg to return to the club.
They were also not a part of the squad in the last game against Newcastle that ended in a draw. With Manchester United set to visit, Mourinho provided some insight into both players’ status.
“Good news. Ben Davies and Matt Doherty are the only players that are not available to play. So they are still injured. Of course getting better. But no more injury news. Everybody available.”
It was a hugely disappointing game against Newcastle with Harry Kane having to do a rescue act. Spurs faltering in the game to drop two points meant that they are still sixth in the table having played 30 games.

Nonetheless, they will get a chance against Manchester United to climb up to fourth with a win. However, it won’t be an easy task with the visitors in imperious away form and are coming on the back of a win in the Europa League.
