Harry Kane will push for exit if Tottenham fail to qualify for Champions League
According to The Athletic (h/t Sky Sports), Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane will push to leave the club in the summer if they fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
A graduate of the Tottenham Hotspur youth academy, Harry Kane has grown into one of the best strikers in the world currently. At 27, the centre-forward is hitting his peak and has been scoring goals in bucket loads season after season but is yet to win a single major trophy in his career.
That is something that a number of former players and pundits have cited as a reason for him to leave the club. And it seems like Kane too is thinking on the same lines. (h/t Sky Sports)
The report claims that the England captain is growing frustrated at Tottenham Hotspur’s inability to challenge for major honours. And if Spurs fail to finish in the top-four and end up without Champions League football for another season, Kane will inform the club that he wants out at the end of the season.
Any decision on his future, however, will only be made after the European Championships this summer, where he will be leading the England national team.
In the aftermath of this, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the situation, stating that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is prepared to do everything possible to keep hold of Kane at the club.
Tottenham are still negotiating to extend Son contract in the next months… and they’re still on the same position regarding Kane’s future: Harry wants to play Champions League football but #THFC want him to stay. Daniel Levy will do his best to keep Harry Kane. ⚪️ #Spurs

Tottenham have a good chance of convincing Harry Kane to stay at the club if we win the Carabao Cup later this month when we face Man City in the finals. And as for the top four race, we are just three points below West Ham in fourth. So, no room for errors between now and the end of the season if we want to play Champions League football and keep Kane at the club.
