Tottenham News: Julian Nagelsmann linked with Bayern Munich job amid Spurs interest
Reports in Germany (h/t football.london) claim that RB Leipzig manager, Julian Nagelsmann, is the favourite to take over at Bayern Munich at the end of the current season.
Hansi Flick, the current Bayern boss, confirmed that he will leave the club to take over the German national team from Joachim Low. And Nagelsmann is the ‘heavy favourite’ to replace him.
Over at Tottenham Hotspur, Jose Mourinho has been sacked as the manager of the club after just one and a half year at the club. Spurs have plummeted in the Premier League table and were dumped out of the UEFA Europa League by Dinamo Zagreb. (h/t Fabrizio Romano)
Amidst this, the Portuguese’s work at Spurs came under scrutiny. Spurs, meanwhile, are thought to be long-term admirers of 33-year-old German mastermind Julian Nagelsmann.

However, it seems like they could lose this race to Bayern. There could be problems arising in negotiations between the German clubs because of their title race this season.
But Bayern have concluded successful negotiations with Leipzig earlier this season when they confirmed the signing of French centre-back, Dayot Upamecano. (h/t football.london)
The season is, of course, not over yet for Spurs. Ryan Mason and Chris Powell, the two interim managers (h/t Fabrizio Romano), have the chance to bring the first trophy to Tottenham in close to 13 years when they take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final next weekend.
Apart from that, there is still an outside chance for Spurs to finish in the top 4 as well. Tottenham sit in 7th place but are just 5 points behind 4th-placed West Ham United.

But the top-4 race could be rendered meaningless if the proposed plans for the European Super League goes ahead. It remains to be seen what happens with that competition, but in the meantime, Spurs could have a big managerial decision to make very soon.
