Tottenham learn the price for appointing Julian Nagelsmann
According to news from Express, Tottenham will have to pay £17.3million if they are to appoint Julian Nagelsmann as their manager. Spurs are currently on a managerial hunt after the sacking of Jose Mourinho this week and have set their eyes on several potential candidates.
It has been an eventful week for Spurs with the whole European Super League saga and then Mourinho being shown the door. The Portuguese has been sacked as the manager of the club after just one and a half years at the club. Spurs have plummeted in the Premier League table and were dumped out of the UEFA Europa League by Dinamo Zagreb.
Amidst this, the Portuguese’s work at Spurs came under scrutiny. Spurs, meanwhile, are looking at many options such as Julian Nagelsmann, Erik ten Hag and Brendan Rodgers. Nagelsmann is said to be among the favourites to actually land the job.
However, it won’t be cheap as RB Leipzig are set to demand around £17.3m in order to let him go. Nagelsmann may be a young coach but his pedigree at such an age is unmatched. His stint with Hoffenheim and Leipzig should be proof enough as to how far forward he can push his teams.

That is quite a substantial amount to bring in a manager, especially in this climate. Given the fact that we have to shell out £15million towards Mourinho, it looks unlikely they will throw the same amount on appointing Nagelsmann. However, in the event that Spurs do want him, they will have to fend off Bayern Munich, who are also after him.
