Tottenham Injury News: Harry Kane returns to training ahead of Carabao Cup final
According to injury news from Daily Mail, Tottenham striker Harry Kane is very close to returning to action ahead of the Carabao Cup final. Kane completed some outdoor training which will certainly be encouraging to Ryan Mason who will want the talismanic striker fit for Sunday.
Tottenham face off against Manchester City in the finals of the Carabao Cup this weekend in what will be a golden opportunity for the club to end our long-drawn trophy drought. Leading into the game, though, there are concerns surrounding the fitness of our ace goalscorer Harry Kane. The 27-year-old picked up an ankle injury late in the 2-2 draw against Everton.
The England captain did not feature on Wednesday as Tottenham beat Southampton 2-1 in what was interim manager Mason’s first job in charge of the team. Kane has slowly been brought back to training with the striker doing sessions alone, without the whole team.
That means Kane could join up with the side today or tomorrow, provided there are no setbacks or lapses. Kane has, by far, been our best player in the ongoing campaign. And while the team showed that it can do the job without him against the Saints, Manchester City will be a whole different cup of tea altogether.

It will be a huge test for Mason as well as the team, given the pressure of the club’s trophyless run. Having Kane would certainly provide us with a better chance to cross the hurdle. Hopefully, the superstar is able to continue his sessions and rejoin the squad for Sunday’s all-important final.
