Transfer News: West Ham enter the race for Tottenham linked Max Aarons
According to transfer news from Independent, West Ham have entered the race for Max Aarons who has been a target for Tottenham. Aarons has been told that he can leave the club if he wishes with clubs such as Everton, Spurs and West Ham after the player.
West Ham are looking to add to their arsenal after a top-four challenge this season and David Moyes is planning for the season ahead. Aarons has been valued at £30million and Norwich are likely to demand the same.
The right-back was also linked with a move to Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Roma last summer. The move, however, collapsed and the Catalan club signed Serginio Dest instead. Norwich wanted to keep the player for another season to boost their chances of promotion. Now that promotion is confirmed, the club are willing to let him leave.
Tottenham have long held an interest in the youngster and despite Mourinho’s sacking, it is unlikely that has changed. Aarons getting linked to European giants only goes to showcase the 21-year-old’s talent and potential.
The youngster has come through the academy at the Canaries and is a regular fixture in their starting XI. Despite the club having Serge Aurier and recent summer signing Matt Doherty, Aarons would add immense quality to the defence.

Nonetheless, West Ham’s interest makes things complicated for us. The Hammers are close to finishing in the Champions League spots and that could be a huge factor in luring Aarons. The dynamic full-back still has a lot of footballing years ahead of him and can be a great short-term, as well as a long-term solution for any club he decides to join.
