Ralf Rangnick offered but Tottenham Hotspur want younger manager to replace Jose Mourinho
According to German journalist and transfer expert, Christian Falk of BILD, Tottenham Hotspur are looking for a ‘coach with a younger profile’ than Ralf Rangnick.
The tweet mentions that the German manager was offered to Spurs and would like to replace Jose Mourinho. However, the Lilywhites are seemingly looking for a younger manager.
Mourinho was sacked by Daniel Levy earlier in April just 6 days before the Carabao Cup final. Ryan Mason, who was a coach at Spurs academy before this, took over the reins as interim manager.

But Spurs would want a long-term replacement for Mourinho considering that Mason is 29 years old and highly inexperienced at the top level.
Who else, then?
Former RB Leipzig manager, Rangnick, is 62 years old but has well over three decades of managerial experience under his belt. 2018/19 was the last season he managed the German side, leading them to a third-place finish and the finals of the DFB Pokal. (h/t transfermarkt)
Spurs have been linked to a number of managerial candidates, a list which includes the likes of Brendan Rodgers, Julian Nagelsmann, and Erik ten Hag. However, the trio does not seem likely to take over the helm at Spurs next season.
In such a scenario, Rangnick’s experience as well as willingness to join should come as good news for Daniel Levy and co. This season seems to be a foregone conclusion for the club.
Mason’s side are out of Europe, domestic cup competitions, and seem unlikely to finish in UEFA Champions League spots. But it is important to ensure that the same mistakes do not happen next season.

It remains to be seen who Spurs choose to appoint as their next manager. But it is safe to say that Spurs could do much worse than appointing someone like Rangnick.
