Daniel Levy to offer Gareth Bale to new Tottenham manager
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will offer the new manager a chance to re-sign Gareth Bale on loan from Real Madrid once again next summer.
Bale, 31, returned to Tottenham Hotspur seven years after leaving the club for Real Madrid. Having signed on a season-long loan deal, the Welshman had problems early in his tenure at the club. However, in recent months, the winger has started to showcase his class and was in sublime form as we beat Sheffield United 4-0 this past weekend.
Bale’s current loan deal expires at the end of the ongoing season. However, it is now being claimed that Tottenham have the option of first refusal for a second season-long deal, meaning that the club can extend his stay for another year on the same terms as now.
Tottenham are believed to be paying around £240,000-per-week to Bale currently, with the rest of his wages being covered by Real Madrid. And, as such, whoever becomes the club’s new manager, Levy will offer them the chance to bring Bale back to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham are on the lookout for a new manager after having sacked Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese, who has now taken the job at AS Roma, spent seventeen months at the club but did not seem to have his faith in Bale. Indeed, the Welshman was pretty much out of favour under Jose during the final few weeks of his tenure but he has bounced back strongly since Ryan Mason has taken over on an interim basis.

Any deal to bring Bale back, though, will require the player’s seal of approval. Seeing as he is persona non-grata at Real Madrid and is seemingly happy again at Tottenham, a deal could very well go through. Although, a lot will depend on who becomes the next Tottenham manager.
