Ryan Mason confirms Tottenham ace Ben Davies set to miss rest of the season
According to Football.london, Tottenham interim manager Ryan Mason has confirmed that defender Ben Davies might not play again in the 2020/21 season due to an injury.
Davies picked up a calf injury in March during our win against Aston Villa just prior to the international break. Having flown to international duty, he had to return immediately due to the said injury and has not featured since.
Tottenham play Wolves this Sunday in the Premier League in what will be the first of our last three fixtures of the season. And providing an update on Davies ahead of the fixture, Mason hinted that the Wales left-back may not be involved in the rest of the games this term. (h/t Football.london)
“No change. Ben [Davies] is the only one who hasn’t trained. He still hasn’t trained. To be honest, I’ll be surprised if he’s in contention for any of our three remaining fixtures but everyone else has trained this week.”
When quizzed if the said injury would force Davies to miss the Euros as well, Mason insisted that he expected the veteran defender to be ready by that time. (h/t Football.london)
“It is too early to make a decision on the Euros but I am sure Ben feels confident on that. We just know he has been out for such a long time, it is not very realistic to expect that he will return to training or play a game in the next 10 days.”

Having Davies available during the final run in could have been helpful given how poor Sergio Reguilon has been of late. But it seems like the Welshman has run his last race for the season. Hopefully, he is able to recover in time to represent his nation at the Euros.
