Tottenham issue statement after Harry Kane transfer story emerges
According to talkSPORT, Tottenham Hotpsur have issued a statement in the aftermath of news breaking out that superstar Harry Kane had informed the club that he wants to leave.
The story was broken first by Sky Sports, who reported that Kane, having done so last summer, had once again told the club that he wants an exit at the end of the season, as he wishes to challenge for and win major trophies.
Kane, who is enjoying one of his best seasons for Tottenham in 2020/21, has been targeted by the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City as well as our London rivals Chelsea. In fact, the report from Sky Sports claimed that the three clubs had already been in contact with the representatives of the England captain.
Tottenham, for their part, are reluctant to sell Kane but could give in and grant his wishes if an exit is what he desires. It has even been claimed that the 27-year-old wants to stay in the Premier League and wants his future resolved before he leaves for the UEFA Euro 2020 where he will be captaining England. talkSPORT have now come up with a fresh development on the story, with Tottenham understood to have issued a statement on the matter. The club, in the statement, hasn’t given away anything, but instead just insisting that the focus is on finishing the current season.
“We have a season to finish and we want to finish it as strongly as possible. That’s all everyone should be focusing on.”

Football.london’s Alasdair Gold, who is reliable when it comes to all things Tottenham, also claimed that while Kane is frustrated at the lack of silverware, at this point he had not expressed any desire to leave and had not informed the club of any such decision.
It remains to be seen how this saga continues to develop in the weeks to come.
