Transfer News: Tottenham superstar Harry Kane informs club he wants to leave
In a bit of a shocking transfer news revealed by Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane has seemingly informed the club that he wants to leave at the end of the season.
A product of the Tottenham academy, Kane has grown into one of the best strikers on the planet over the past half-a-decade. The 27-year-old has enjoyed a scintillating 2020/21 campaign on a personal level even though Spurs are set to finish without any trophy and possibly without Champions League football for next term.
Kane, in interviews in the recent past, has made it clear that he wants to be competing for major honours, something that has not been possible at Tottenham of late.
Having endured a difficult 2019/20 campaign, Spurs had hoped to turn over a new leaf in Jose Mourinho’s first full-season in charge. And even though things looked positive at one stage, it has been downhill since the turn of the year, resulting in the Portuguese getting the sack as well.
And now, Sky Sports is claiming that the England captain has asked the club to sanction an exit in the summer. It is believed that Kane had made a similar request last summer as well, but Tottenham persuaded him to delay his plans by a year. And even though, the club is reluctant to sell him this summer, things could now come to head with the striker himself requesting an exit.
The report further adds that Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been in touch with the representatives of Kane. And while Spurs would be even more reluctant to let him join a direct rival, the 27-year-old wants to stay in the Premier League and is also seeking a resolution on his future before he takes off for the Euros.

If true, this comes as a huge blow for Tottenham. For years now, Kane has been by far our best player. And losing him at a point when a new manager is set to take over and the club needs some sort of stability would be a bitter blow. However, it seems like Spurs are already sounding out enquiries for centre-forwards to replace the 27-year-old, as per the report.
