Manchester City ready to outbid rivals for Tottenham superstar Harry Kane
According to the Daily Star (h/t Express), newly-crowned Premier League champions Manchester City are ready to outbid rivals Manchester United and Chelsea for the signing of Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
Kane has been the talk of the town ever since reports emerged earlier this week claiming that the Tottenham Hotspur superstar had informed the club that he wanted to leave at the end of the season. Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have emerged as they key players in the transfer saga, having already made contact with the representatives of the England captain. (h/t Express)
And now, it is being said that Manchester City are ready to blow their rivals out of the water by making a massive bid to secure the services of Kane. The Cityzens, who won the Premier League title yet again under Pep Guardiola, are in the need for a new striker as they seek to replace Sergio Aguero.
The club’s all-time leading goalscorer is set to leave at the end of the season when his current contract runs out. And Kane is being lined up as the ideal replacement for the Argentine international.
Daniel Levy, though, is not particularly keen on letting the England captain join a direct rival, although, Kane is hopeful that he will not stand in the way, having had a gentleman’s agreement over a move last summer. (h/t Express)

Kane, in a candid interview with Gary Neville on Thursday, pretty much confirmed his stance of wanting an exit without directly saying so. It now remains to be seen if he is able to secure a transfer or whether Levy digs his heels in and prices him out of a move.
