Transfer News: Tottenham target Nikola Milenkovic will cost at least £26million
According to transfer news from Sportslens, Tottenham target Nikola Milenkovic is likely to cost at least £26 million. Spurs along with rivals Arsenal are willing to go after the Fiorentina defender who is set to be sold.
Milenkovic has grown into one of the most reliable defenders in Serie A since making the switch to Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade back in 2017. However, the Serbian international sees his contract expire with the Viola at the end of the 2021/22 campaign and has no intention of signing an extension, forcing the club to cash in this summer.

A number of clubs have taken an interest in the towering centre-back’s situation with Tottenham Hotspur being one among them. Heading into the new season, Spurs have a major rebuilding job on their hands, especially in defence.
Eric Dier has faded badly over the course of the season. Toby Alderweireld isn’t getting any younger and will eventually need to be replaced. Whereas Davinson Sanchez has been consistently inconsistent, true to his style throughout his time at the club.

Spurs could get a solution to their woes with Nikola Milenkovic. The Serbian defender could be let go for a modest price tag of £26 million due to the player being keen on a move away. However, that price tag could escalate if there is a bidding war.

While a move for Milenkovic would be a step in the right direction, the intense competition for his signing means that there is a chance of missing out on him. Hopefully, that doesn’t turn out to be the case.
