According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United are said to be the only club that are very serious about signing Tottenham striker Harry Kane. United, Man City and Chelsea have all been linked to the talismanic striker. He claimed that he wants to leave the club at the end of the season.
Kane, 27, has spent most of his footballing career at Tottenham, having come through the youth ranks at the club and going on to become one of the best strikers in the game. However, heading into the summer transfer window, the England captain could be on his way out, with recent reports from Sky Sports claiming recently that he had informed the decision to the club as well.
Kane wants to leave Spurs
A move driven by his ambition to win silverware, something that is not possible at Tottenham currently, has led to a lot of speculations over the past few days.
Addressing the speculations head-on, Kane has now claimed that he is at a crossroads in his career and will consider his options. The England international also added that it will be he who decides his future and not Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.
That led to wild speculations as to which club could and should sign him. Manchester United have long been admirers of the striker. Ian McGarry believes they are the only club keen to go after Kane.
“People I’ve spoken to who are close to Harry Kane say that his determination to move this situation where he gets what he wants is definite and will not end with him being forced to stay for the length of his contract.
“Levy will have to accept his sale price from the bidder who Harry Kane himself wants to join. It will be intriguing to see how that works out. Manchester United are the only very serious players in this particular game of Kane poker.”
