Transfer News: Tottenham keen on signing Wilfried Zaha

According to transfer news from Football.london, Tottenham are keen on signing Wilfried Zaha. However, Spurs are not the only side after the Crystal Palace winger as Everton have also shown interest in a £40million deal.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget how long Wilfried Zaha has been around given he is still only 28. He has come a long way from not making the cut at Manchester United to making a name for himself at Crystal Palace.

The Ivorian has been Palace’s go-to man for the last few seasons, bagging goals every season to keep them in the Premier League. Despite not being surrounded by a star-studded cast, Zaha has often taken it upon himself to produce the goods.

However, Zaha has always flirted with a move away from Palace in recent seasons but it seems like his future is now well and truly up in the air. Palace are set for a summer of reconfiguration with most of their players departing after the end of their contracts. Roy Hodgson is leaving the club too.

Now, it has been reported that Tottenham and Everton are likely to go after the Ivorian winger in the summer in a deal worth £40million. Zaha recently opened up on his future citing that he wants to leave the club.

“I feel like I can have another shot at the top teams, because my dream is to win things. I’m good enough to go out there and compete with the best. If the opportunity came, I wouldn’t turn it down, because I feel like I deserve it. It’s so I can show my kids: ‘This is what daddy won’.”

Zaha still has two years left on his contract but it’s hard to see him leave for such a low valuation. He is too important a player for Palace to lose. Nonetheless, a forward who can play anywhere across the frontline, his addition to our attack can be a vital one.
