Report: Antonio Conte interested in Tottenham Hotspur manager job
According to The Guardian, Antonio Conte is interested in becoming the next manager of Tottenham Hotspur following his exit from Inter Milan.
Tottenham Hotspur have been in the hunt for a new manager for a month now after having sacked Jose Mourinho in April. Ryan Mason was handed over the reins on an interim basis till the end of the season.
But with the 2020/21 campaign now behind us, an appointment needs to be at the earliest if the new manager is to have time to prepare for the transfer window and the season that lies ahead. A number of names like Erik ten Hag, Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter have been linked but are unlikely to sign for various reasons. (h/t The Guardian)
This has led Tottenham to former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte. The Italian is unattached currently after he sensationally parted ways with Inter Milan on Wednesday, only weeks after leading the club to their first Serie A title in over a decade. (h/t The Guardian)
Recent reports had claimed that Tottenham had already tabled a massive contract offer for the former Juventus and Chelsea boss. And, it is now being said that the 51-year-old himself would be interested in becoming the next manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

Apart from Conte, Tottenham are also exploring the possibility of a sensational return for former boss Mauricio Pochettino just eighteen months after he axed by the club. Indeed, the Lilywhites have opened talks with the Argentine over the possibility of a comeback, although the fact that he took the job at PSG less than six months ago makes things complicated. Conte, despite his mercurial nature, would be an excellent choice for Tottenham. A proven winner, the Italian would take the team in the right direction, like he did with Inter Milan, and hopefully bring in a trophy or two. It remains to be seen if the club do appoint him or look elsewhere.
