According to Daily Mail, Tottenham superstar and England skipper Harry Kane will be rested for the final warmup game against Romania.

Kane’s future at Tottenham has become a hot topic of discussion in recent weeks with the England captain expressing his desire to move on to a new challenge in his career. Spurs, though, remain hopeful of convincing him to stay at the club beyond the summer.

The England skipper has just gotten off the back of a groundbreaking season where he won the golden boot as well as tallied the highest number of assists. Yet, trophies seemed to elude the 27-year old as Spurs crashed out of the cup competitions and provided a meek showing in the league.

Kane is now focusing on the Euros

However, all that is now on the back burner as international football takes centre stage. Kane has linked up with his international teammates as England have already started preps for their Euro 2020 campaign. They have already played a friendly against Austria where Kane featured.

Nonetheless, the talismanic striker could be rested for the next friendly against Romania. It is with the view that Kane is training to be fully fit for the tournament. England are keen to avoid any of his niggling ankle issues as he did not train on Friday.
