Daniel Levy issues transfer warning to Harry Kane amid Tottenham exit links
Speaking to the club’s official media channels (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has issued a transfer warning to star man Harry Kane amid exit links this summer.
The 27-year-old has been Tottenham’s best player for the past half a decade or so but is yet to win a single major trophy in his career. This past season was once again the same old story for Kane as he won the Premier League Golden Boot and the Playmaker Award but Spurs couldn’t even achieve a top-six finish.
This has led to claims from Sky Sports that Kane has informed Tottenham that he wants to leave the club this summer, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United keen on signing him.
Levy has now responded to the speculations without specifically naming Kane, saying that the club shares the disappointment of not having won any trophies. But there was a warning to the England captain and his suitors that not everyone gets what they want in the transfer market. (h/t Express)
“I am never going to talk specifically about an individual player in public. All I would say is his frustrations of us not winning is shared by me and I am sure all the fans and the players. Clearly, we all want to win. I think one of the items that Fabio [Paratici] will have to deal with when he comes in is which players are being retained, which players will be asked to look for other clubs.
“But obviously there is a market out there and what we want, and what somebody else wants, is not always possible to achieve. We will do whatever is right for the club.”

Levy is known to be a tough negotiator. And, judging by his statements, the Tottenham chairman seems set on doing everything possible to keep hold of Kane at the club beyond this summer.
It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds, considering that Kane had already claimed (h/t Evening Standard) that he had a gentleman’s agreement with the chairman over an exit.
