Tottenham battle Liverpool, Leicester and Chelsea for Patson Daka
According to the Express, Tottenham Hotspur are involved in a four-way tussle with Premier League rivals Chelsea, Leicester City and Liverpool for the signing of Patson Daka.
The 22-year-old started out at Zambian club Nchanga Rangers FC and spent time at Green Buffaloes, Kafue Celtic and Power Dynamos FC (loan). After a six-month loan stint with Austrian outfit FC Liefering, Daka was picked up by RB Salzburg in the summer of 2017.
After a slow start to life at Salzburg, Daka burst onto the scenes in 2019/20, plundering 27 goals and 12 assists in 45 matches across all competitions for Salzburg. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Daka was once again in scintillating form in the 2020/21 campaign for the Austrian giants. The Zambian forward bagged 34 goals and 12 assists in 42 games in all competitions.
Naturally, a number of top clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur have now expressed an interest in signing the 22-year-old striker this summer. (h/t Express)
Tottenham need a new striker this summer, with Carlos Vinicius departing after a largely underwhelming loan spell at the club. Throw in the doubts surrounding the future of Harry Kane, it is imperative that Spurs bring in a centre-forward at all costs before next season kicks off.

Daka, given the form that he has shown over the past couple of seasons, would be an excellent addition to the squad at Tottenham. However, the competition from the likes of Liverpool, Leicester City and Chelsea does complicate matters for the Lilywhites.
The 22-year-old still has three years left on his contract with RB Salzburg. It now remains to be seen if Spurs do launch a move for the striker or look elsewhere.
