The 21-year-old has had a breakthrough season in Serie A, piling in 21 goals in 37 games. He was the fourth-highest scorer over the season, only being topped by Ronaldo, Lukaku and Muriel. With Kane’s future still up in the air, it makes sense to keep contingency plans in place. Vlahovic is by no means a finished product but he has shown that he can step up at such a young age. It does seem like a huge punt to take but it might well be worth the money.
