Transfer News: Man City prepare one final offer for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane
According to a transfer report by Daily Star, Man City will submit a take-it-or-leave-it offer for Tottenham talisman Harry Kane.
The offer is believed to be £100million as Pep Guardiola has reservations about Kane being 27 years old and his suffering ankle injuries recently. The Citizens can back out from the deal if Tottenham don’t play ball.
Daniel Levy is said to value the striker around £150million, which leaves a considerable gap between the two side’s respective valuations. There is also the fact that Kane is not making an impression at Euros 2020 so far, with no goals in 2 games.
This should come as good news for Spurs fans considering there is a chance that City walk away from Kane. Levy, hopefully, would be a tough negotiator and has already stated to the club media (h/t The Express) that he wants to look after the club’s best interests in the summer.
Kane to Man City?
Kane’s abilities are not really up for debate. This year’s Golden Boot and Playmaker Award winner has shown time and again what a quality striker he is. So his poor showing in Euros so far should not come as a cause for concern for the Spurs faithful.
Spurs seriously lack in the No.9 department when it comes to providing backup and competition for Kane. If the Englishman leaves, the club might have to dip into the market to find a suitable replacement.
But that would only depend on Kane leaving. Each passing day takes us closer to the end of this transfer window and hopefully by the end of it, Kane still dons Tottenham white.
