Tottenham ‘have four managers under consideration’ as hunt continues
According to talkSPORT’s Ian Abrahams (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur are considering as many as four candidates for the managerial post after the latest pursuit ended in failure.
The past couple of months have been quite torrid for Tottenham, having had to face a series of setbacks in pursuit of a new manager.
Julian Nagelsmann was initially targeted but he ended up choosing Bayern Munich instead. Brendan Rodgers and Erik ten Hag then committed their futures to their clubs, Leicester and AFC Ajax respectively. Former boss Mauricio Pochettino was also targeted but PSG have held firm on their stance that the Argentine is staying put. (h/t Express)
The pursuit then moved on to Antonio Conte, only for the negotiations to break down at an advanced stage while Paulo Fonseca was also touted for the role, only for the club to call off the pursuit and target Gennaro Gattuso. The club, though, decided to end his pursuit as well, with backlash from fans. (h/t Express)
With all options running out fast, Tottenham need to act swiftly to name a new manager. And talkSPORT’s Ian Abrahams (h/t Express) has claimed that Spurs have now narrowed down on four new candidates that they are considering for the role.
However, he does not mention the names of the four managers being considered.

It has, however, been claimed by the Express that Erik ten Hag is back under consideration for the managerial position. This, despite him signing a new one-year contract with Ajax at the end of the season.
It remains to be seen as to who is named the Tottenham manager. Faster a resolution is arrived at the better.
