Fans react as Tottenham star Harry Kane scores for England in win over Germany
After a slow start to the UEFA Euro 2020, Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane stepped up when it mattered the most, helping England to a 2-0 win over Germany at the Wembley Stadium.
The England captain hadn’t had the best of tournaments thus far, having not scored in any of the group stage ties. So, there had been a lot of question marks over Kane, which raised further when he missed a gilt-edged chance to score in the first period against Germany.
However, after Raheem Sterling opened the scoring in the second half, the Tottenham star made sure that there was no comeback on the cards for Joachim Low & co. brilliantly steering a cross by Jack Grealish past Manuel Neuer and into the back of the net.

One could sense the relief as Kane wheeled away in celebrations after having had to cop a lot of criticism. But, when it mattered, against Germany, in front of a packed Wembley, the 27-year-old stood up and made it count.
It was a huge win for England who have now knocked out their old foes from the Euro 2020 and will be facing the winners of Sweden vs Ukraine in the quarter-final of the competition in a few days.
Some Tottenham fans were sent into a frenzy after Kane scored as they took to social media to celebrate their star man’s strike. Here are some of the reactions as Kane helped England beat the Germans at Wembley.
