Tottenham director Fabio Paratici arrives in London to close Nuno Espirito Santo deal
According to Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio on Twitter, Tottenham Hotspur director Fabio Paratici has landed in London as the club look to close the deal for the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo as the manager.
Paratici was appointed the club’s new Managing Director of Football earlier this month. The Italian has been working hard ever since as Spurs look to appoint a new manager, having been without a permanent head coach for over two months now.
Indeed, Tottenham sacked Jose Mourinho towards the end of April and haven’t been able to name a full-time replacement yet. But, that could now be set to change as Di Marzio reports that Nuno Espirito Santo is set to be named the next Tottenham boss.
The 47-year-old Portuguese has been without a club after he quit Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of the 2020/21 term. Nuno spent four years with the Midlands club, bringing them back to the Premier League in his very first season before achieving back-to-back seventh-place finishes in the top-flight.
The season gone by, however, was a bit of a disappointment as Wolves finished 13th in the Premier League, although they were ravaged by injuries, especially in attack where Raul Jimenez’s presence was sorely missed.
And it seems like the Portuguese tactician’s time in the English top-flight is set to continue, with Tottenham now aiming to close the deal, which is why Paratici is said to have arrived in London.

The search for a manager has gone a tad bit longer than it should have. However, with the pre-season set to start on the coming Monday it is important that Tottenham make an announcement, even though Nuno might not prove to be an overly popular choice.
