Transfer News: Tottenham could miss out on Jules Kounde; Real Madrid interested
According to transfer news from The Sun, Tottenham are facing the prospect of missing out on Jules Kounde. Real Madrid are keen on the Sevilla starlet and are willing to offer a player plus cash deal to sway the deal in their favour.
With Nuno Espirito Santo already appointed, it would seem Spurs are making up for some lost time with regards to transfers. The club are yet to make a signing this season but they are now looking to get a few names in.
The London based club are said to be interested in Jules Kounde of Sevilla with Nuno looking to make him his first signing. The 22-year-old French defender has become a regular for Sevilla’s backline since his move in 2019. He also helped the club to the Europa League trophy last year. Although, it is not certain whether Spurs are open to paying his full release clause of £69m.
However, it would seem that Real Madrid are looking to sway the deal for Kounde in their favour. Los Blancos are hoping to offer Isco plus £43m in cash. Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui is said to be a fan of the Spaniard. This means that Real have the edge over Spurs in the race for Kounde.
