Transfer News: Tottenham among clubs watching Jack Grealish
According to transfer news from the Express, Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs keeping a watch on Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish, even though a move is highly unlikely.
A product of the Aston Villa youth setup, Grealish has grown into one of the best attacking midfielders in the country. Having helped the Villans to promotion back to the Premier League, the 25-year-old has been one of the topmost players on display in the English top-flight over the past couple of seasons.
Grealish scored six goals and recorded ten assists in 24 Premier League starts for Villa last season. Now, having established a foothold in the England national team as well, Grealish has emerged on the radars of several top clubs in the Premier League, including Tottenham, along with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United as well as a faltering Arsenal outfit.
Tottenham’s interest in Grealish is not entirely new, with the Lilywhites having been linked with a move for the 25-year-old last summer as well.
And while the report states that the Lilywhites are watching the Aston Villa captain, it also specifies that a move is very much out of the question. Instead, it is claimed that Manchester City is the most realistic destination for the 25-year-old.

As much an appealing target as Grealish would be, a move for the Villa captain is unrealistic for Tottenham, owing to the finances that could be involved in order to sign him. At a time when the club needs to bolster several areas across the pitch, a move for the Englishman is pretty much out of the question.
