Tottenham will have to shell out €60m for Dusan Vlahovic claims Italian journalist
According to Gazetta dello Sport’s Carlo Laudisa (h/t Football.london), Fiorentina will accept an offer of around €60m for star striker Dusan Vlahovic, who is a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.
The 21-year-old joined Serie A side Fiorentina from Serbian outfit Partizan Belgrade as a teenager in 2018. Having slowly risen to prominence at the club, Vlahovic is now the first-choice centre-forward at Stadio Artemio Franchi.
In the 2020/21 term, Vlahovic managed an impressive return of 21 goals and two assists from 37 matches in Serie A. The youngster’s exploits with La Viola has now led to interest from a host of clubs including Tottenham Hotspur.
Fiorentina were believed to be keen on tying Vlahovic down to a new contract. But Laudisa claims that the Serbian international is not interested in signing a new deal, which could force the Viola to cash in on him this summer. (h/t Football.london)
“It’s understandable that Tottenham, with Kane in the sights of Manchester City, look around: Fiorentina have said no for now, but the €60m value can be dangerous.
“If the English club were to collect more than €120m for Kane, they would have no problem offering €60m for Vlahovic. His contract? For months, I have received a very specific signal that cannot be ignored: for now, there is no intention of renewing.”

With there being uncertainties surrounding the future of Harry Kane, adding someone like Vlahovic would be the right move by Tottenham. Even if the England captain stays put, the 21-year-old would be a handy signing given his goalscoring exploits in the season gone by. As for the transfer fee mentioned, that could be tricky unless there are player sales this summer.
