Manchester City to break the bank for Tottenham superstar Harry Kane

The Sun has reported a new bid from Manchester City in their pursuit of Tottenham superstar Harry Kane. The report claims the Englishman could join Pep Guardiola’s side for £160million. The figure suggests that the Manchester club will have to break their transfer record to complete the deal.

Daniel Levy’s U-turn

Earlier, The Guardian reported that Man City’s bid, worth at least £100m, was rejected by Tottenham. The report claimed that the club have ‘no intention’ of accepting any offer for their player.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo doubled down on it by suggesting that Kane is a Tottenham player. The new boss said that he is looking forward to the player returning to the group.

However, The Sun’s report suggests that Daniel Levy has made a U-turn. The £160million mega offer is ‘preferable from Spurs’ point of view’

The report says that Levy ‘rang’ Kane, who was at his brother’s wedding, to tell his decision. The Tottenham chairman suggests that the striker’s value has never been higher.

Kane’s Delight

The source in the report mentioned that Kane was delighted by the news, adding that the England captain never wanted to leave Spurs on bad terms. Kane has already agreed on personal terms with the club. The England star will get a £400,000-a-week deal.

The Englishman officially revealed his thoughts in a candid interview with Gary Neville. He mentioned that he never said wants to leave. However, he isn’t bullish on staying either. It seems his move to City is on the cards.
