Tottenham Hotspur’s front three better than that of Man United claims Jamie O’Hara
Speaking on talkSPORT (h/t Daily Mail), former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has claimed that the Lilywhites’ front three is superior to that of Manchester United.
Manchester United splashed the big bucks on the signing of Jadon Sancho this summer, bringing in the England international from Borussia Dortmund for a sum of £73m. The 21-year-old is set to form the Red Devils’ new-look attacking trident alongside Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford for the upcoming campaign.
Tottenham, meanwhile, could potentially be lining up with the trio of Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Lucas Moura, with Gareth Bale not at the club anymore. And even though the Lilywhites finished eighth last season whereas Manchester United ended the season in second, O’Hara believes that Spurs’ attacking trident is better than that of United.
“Spurs’ front-three at their best is still better than that Manchester United front-three. Son is better than Rashford, Kane is better than Cavani. OK, Moura is not better than Sancho, but Moura had a great finish to last season and does produce at the top level.”
The ex-Tottenham midfielder added that both Liverpool and Manchester City possessed more superior frontlines than Tottenham and United.
“Liverpool have the best front-three in the Premier League. Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah. That’s better than Man United’s. Not based on last season, just based on talent and what they can produce when they’re at their best. Man City, if they line up with Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne as a false-nine, that’s probably better than Manchester United’s, too.”

Kane and Son were top-notch in the season gone by, there is absolutely no denying that even though the latter’s form dipped in the second half of the campaign. Lucas, too, ended the season strongly. As to whether they are better than Manchester United’s with Sancho, it is too early to make a judgement.
