Tottenham owner Joe Lewis annoyed by the actions of Harry Kane
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane may have weakened his chances of securing a transfer away this summer by annoying owner Joe Lewis with his actions to get a move.
A product of the club’s youth academy, Kane has grown into an absolute superstar at Tottenham, establishing himself as one of the finest strikers in the game currently.
The 27-year-old is coming on the back of his best season with the Lilywhites, finishing as the Premier League Golden Boot and Playmaker Award winner. Following that, Kane also led England to the finals of the UEFA Euro 2020.
Amidst all that, though, Kane’s future at Tottenham has been a subject of intense debate. Yet to win any form of major silverware in his senior career, the England captain is keen on leaving the club and made that clear in an interview with Gary Neville back in May, when he also insisted that his future was in his hands and not the club’s. That, along with all the noise surrounding the transfer and the interest from Manchester City, has left owner Joe Lewis annoyed and frustrated. And, the club supremo is now prepared to dig his heels in and make things difficult for Kane to secure an exit, as per the report. This comes days after it emerged that Tottenham were ready to accept a humungous £160m bid for the 27-year-old.

Kane has three years left on his current Tottenham contract and Lewis has no intentions of being forced into a sale. This has all the makings of a long-drawn-out saga that could go till the deadline day.
Kane is currently away on holiday after his involvement at the Euros and is expected to be back for pre-season in the first week of next month.
