Sevilla’s Jules Kounde reveals the condition to join Tottenham Hotspur
According to football.london, Sevilla’s Jules Kounde has not ruled out a move to Spurs. The defender is open to the move but his stance could change if La Liga giants, Real Madrid, come knocking on the door for him in the summer.
Earlier, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, (h/t football.london) reported that Tottenham Hotspur have an agreement in place with Sevilla for Kounde.
Tottenham to face competition from Manchester United and Chelsea for the signature of Kounde
According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United will enter the race to sign Kounde. The report adds that the club are looking to bring in another centre-back after the potential addition of Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano recently tweeted about Chelsea’s interest in Kounde. According to him, the Blues view the former Girondins de Bordeaux man as the main target and have opened official talks with Sevilla over a potential deal, with the player being open to a move.
Kounde, however, is said to want Champions League action, something that Spurs cannot provide after only making the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.
What it means for Tottenham
Fabio Paratici is actively looking for defenders this summer window. The new managing director has been quite the busy man. Toby Alrderweireld’s transfer to Al-Duhail is announced. Eric Dier and Matt Doherty, meanwhile, could be on their way out. (TalkSPORT (h/t football.london)
