Cristian Romero sends a message to fans after completing Tottenham move
Cristian Romero was visibly delighted on having joined Tottenham and had a message for the fans as well (h/t Football.london). He thanked everyone for the faith shown in him and wants to repay the same. Finally, he said he was ready to give it his all for the side and chipped in with a ‘Come on you Spurs’.
Spurs were dealt with a massive blow when veteran defender Toby Alderweireld chose to leave the club over the summer. Problem was that he was one of the few decent defenders left in the side apart from the young Joe Rodon. Either way, Spurs knew they had to get in an adequate replacement.

Newly-appointed sporting director Fabio Paratici picked out Cristian Romero, who was named the Best Defender in Serie A for the last season. The Argentine was on loan from Juventus at Atalanta managing to impress for the side for quite a while now. His stocks were further raised with a successful Copa America campaign with Argentina.
Spurs finally got their man for a rather sizable £42.5m transfer fee. The 23-year-old also signs a long-term contract for six years. Romero, after completing the transfer, had a message for his new fans after completing a deal.
“I’m very happy to be wearing this shirt and to come to this club. I want to thank the fans for all the messages. You wanted me here and I am here. Now I’ll try and respond and show faith that the club is showing in me. And I’m ready to start and give everything for this shirt. Come on you Spurs.”
