Transfer News: Tottenham interested in Andrea Belotti
According to transfer news from Corriere Granata (h/t Football.london), Tottenham have shown an interest in Andrea Belotti. The Torino striker has been a target for Spurs for a while now and has only a year remaining on his current deal.
Tottenham have a huge striker problem on their hands. The prolific Harry Kane has his heart set on winning trophies and wants to leave the club after failing to get his hands on one during all these years. The striker has not yet rejoined the club’s training putting his future in doubt.
The problem actually goes beyond that. Spurs are currently without an established second-choice striker currently. Carlos Vinicius was not signed on a permanent deal after his loan deal from Benfica expired. Add to that Gareth Bale has also returned to Real Madrid leaving the options in attack just a bit thin.
Among the several forwards being linked to the side, Andrea Belotti is a name that has been on the radar for a while now. The Italian striker has been a target since last year. Interest still remains in the 27-year-old, as he is in the final year of his contract.

Regardless of Kane’s future, Spurs need to sign a striker. There are no other options to play the role and Belotti can be a wise bit of investment. He might not have had the best season last time out but the fact remains that he is still a prolific striker. With his deal also ending within a year, there is a good chance Spurs can land him at a cut-price deal.
