Manchester City ready to offer €150m to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are ready to break the bank and sign Harry Kane from Tottenham this summer. While Tottenham have been adamant about not letting the player leave, an offer in the range of £150million could tempt chairman Daniel Levy to let go of the player. While Manchester City are ready to cough up the money, they are currently preparing a bid in the range of €150million (£127million). Fabrizio Romano’s entire tweet read:
“Manchester City are preparing their new bid for Harry Kane around €150m and would also include add-ons if necessary to convince Spurs. #THFC Tottenham still hope to keep Kane, but Man City are not giving up – bid will be ready. Exclusive story earlier today, confirmed”
Kane, who has made it subtly clear that he does want to leave the club this summer, failed to show up for training last week and remained on holiday, causing a lot of controversy and anger amongst the Spurs hierarchy. This is also not the first time that the Etihad outfit are trying to sign the player with Tottenham rejecting City’s first bid of £100million earlier this summer. However, their offer of €150million is much closer to Spurs’ valuation of the player, and with less than three weeks left for the transfer window to end, a lot of things could change at Spurs by the end of the summer. City have already broken the British transfer record this summer by signing Aston Villa star Jack Grealish for £100million and Pep Guardiola has confirmed that they are ready to do so again by signing Harry Kane if Tottenham are open to negotiating a deal for the player.

However, it remains to be seen whether Spurs would accept anything under £150million, while Nuno Espirito Santo has also indicated that Kane could be named in the squad to face City in the coming weekend, portraying that the player is still a part of Tottenham.
