Transfer News: Tottenham keen on Adama Traore
According to transfer news from The Sun, Tottenham are interested in signing Adama Traore. The speedy winger from Wolves is said to be valued at £40m which in turn has put off some of the suitors such as Spurs, Liverpool and Leeds United.
A youth product of the famed La Masia academy, Traore has had quite the journey in his career so far. From not making the cut at Middlesbrough, he has become one of the most lethal wingers in the league with Wolves. A dangerously fast player, Traore can outrun most of his opponents with ease.
However, last season saw a marked dip in form and output from Traore and unsurprisingly, Wolves also struggled. There was also the injury to Raul Jimenez, with who he had formed a dangerous partnership. His absence had also likely affected his tally in front of goal. Add to that, the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo and his future has been put into question.
Wolves are said to be looking at a solid £40m for Traore, which is somewhat unrealistic in this financial climate and his form. Liverpool are said to be the keenest on him, followed by Spurs and Leeds United. However, all three sides have been put off by the price quoted by Wolves.

Nuno Espirito Santo knows all about the player and he will also know what he can bring to the table. However, with Spurs already having Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier, it makes little sense to go after Traore. Provided one of those two are sold, Spurs can look at him but the price factor still remains.
